Founded by Jacqui Dover, a FIBA International and National Leagues referee, the JD8 Official Referee Academy is built to empower basketball officials to reach their full potential — both on and off the court.
 

With years of experience at the elite level and a proven background in designing and delivering referee development programs across Australia, Jacqui brings a wealth of knowledge, insight, and mentorship to every participant.
 

Our 12-month Academy Program is a comprehensive, hands-on development journey designed for referees who want to take their officiating to the next level. Through personalised 1-on-1 mentoring, goal setting, and practical training in areas such as play calling, mechanics, court presence, and performing under pressure, you’ll gain the tools, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed at any level of the game.
 

As part of the program, you’ll receive:

• 24 x 30-minute 1:1 video sessions with Jacqui — scheduled flexibly around your availability
